VMofo: Travel-Friendly Vegan Foods #2

It's Vegan Mofo Week #1, Post #2; exploring travel-friendly vegan food. Today, I'm going to share with you one of my favorite brands of cookies.

I first discovered the Alternative Baking Company's products when I lived in New Hampshire. I would drive 20-30 minutes to my favorite health food store, A Market in Manchester, for vegan meat substitutes, bulk items, and imports like refrigerated miso paste. And during nearly every trip I would add one of their wondrous cookies to my shopping cart. These cookies are big, sweet, and full of character. My favorites include their Colossal Chocolate Chip and Luscious Lemon Poppyseed, but really any of their items is scrumptious. The packaging they come in is colorful and full of vibrant facts about about how being vegan can save the planet!

Typically, when Chris and I visit her family in Midland I try to make us a vegan care package to bring for the drive (it's about six hours) and I often include ABC cookies, fruit, and kettle chips, sometimes also including a few of the items I'll be writing about later this week.Making care packages for your vegan travels is very smart and I highly recommend more wandering vegans to do it.

Have you tried the Alternative Baking Company's cookies before? Which is your favorite kind? I'd love to hear about it, so don't hesitate to comment!Tomorrow, I'll be featuring one of my most loved brands of "protein bars." Thanks for reading! I hope you're enjoying the Vegan Mofo like I am!
